Featured: Book of the Week

Francis Carco, Frenzy
Paperback (out of print)

French Surrealist Carco wrote a handful of noir novels back in the twenties. They were all blacker than black, full of pimps, incest, and characters trapped in horribly appalling death dances. Imagine Boris Vian without the satirical element. Or a kinky David Goodis.
Perversity is the only one still in print (barely) in the the U.S. Berkley published an English language translation of Frenzy back in 1960, but it's been out of print for over fifty years.
